Tutor Couture teaches you to create garments by draping on the stand a pattern cutting method used by many fashion designers, particularly in couture work. We have spotted a gap in the market for well-made, step-by-step, cloud-based tutorials; taught by practising fashion tutors and designers - based on a fashion school curriculum. Our tutorials will take you through all the steps involved: from draping to making-up (sewing). Who are we? Angie Dartnell, our featured tutor, is a practising fashion designer, and has taught fashion design for many years. She tutors at West Suffolk College and the University of East London. Throughout our first series of tutorials, you will learn to create a range of garments, starting with a fitted bodice (the basis for all tops and dresses), and building up to more intricate designs: skirts, stylised tops and dresses.
